Sorry about the duplicated link, fixed now and ta Simon for the heads up.

Jesse, I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the American or Korean remark...

While of course the sound is not even remotely exclusive to those areas I tend to hear that rough edged, DIY electronics sound in a larger percentage of American or Korean electroacoustic improv than in other parts of the world, particularly with the later generations of players. Perhaps its just me with this perception though?

The link you put for Phil's Authorised Version label actually takes you to the Crow with no Mouth blog. Great though Jesse's blog looks, it doesn't really need two links.
The Authorised Version label link should be:
http://www.a-version.co.uk/free.html
and it's well worth downloading imo.

Thanks as always Richard.

You're the first person to pick up on Paul's animated sleeve design. Spooky eh?

You'll give yourself a migrane doing that ;)

Good of you to mention my blog, thanks for that and the kind words.
While I have been saying, with genuine feeling, that blogs might be among the top several non-essential 21st c. activities, I would also offer that when I search for online places to read good stuff about music and ideas, I invariably return to a few bookmarks. Those sites [a few more could be added] are on my *blogroll*.
I hope my contributions add to a few others' bookmarks.
Thanks again, Richard. I cannot possibly [nor do I wish to] keep pace with your voluminous cache of new music, but I come here regularly for the advocacy and analysis of that music. I AM among the 150.
Pace my comment about flagging behind, I haven't heard the release under discussion.
Curious about the remark "I would have guessed they were American or maybe Korean." On what basis?
