Leeds city centre on a Saturday night is dreadful. I’m not sure I have ever witnessed quite so many moronic people making quite so much moronic noise in such a small area. Ugh. I mention this because I am writing this via iPhone late in a hotel room in Leeds. There’s not a hope of sleeping for a while because of the racket outside. I am also very tired after a lot of travel and a lot of intense music the past few days so another brief post. I have written the best part of a write-up of the Unnamed Festival on paper though and will type it up when I get home late tomorrow. For now I will just say that the Rowe / Kuchen / Wright trio has been stunning, two really wonderful sets of intense music. It’s been a great three days all round though and if I do nothing else tonight before my thumb seized up I should say a big thanks to Simon Reynell. I’m sure that every one of the musicians involved would join me in that. More tomorrow.
