I am working through the night again tonight, so I am afraid I’m going to have to palm you off with a brief post now and then write at greater length tomorrow to make up for it. To be honest my mind is elsewhere today anyway so anything I might commit to a page here would probably not be worth reading. This morning I slept for as long as I was able (which wasn’t that long) to try and prepare for the lack of sleep tonight, and once awake the only vaguely music related thing I have done is widen the front driveway here so that the HGV containing the backlog of CDs caught up in the postal strike can easily back into the loading bay at Pinnell Towers.

At Alastair’s nudging, I have loaded the two discs of the IHM IV compilation that he curated onto my iPod to listen to this afternoon and tonight, alongside a disc of Ravel and Debussy string quartets that I picked up yesterday. Should make for some intriguing listening later anyway. Sorry for the brevity.
