IMG_0194Argh, I knew this would happen one of these days. Work is a real pressure right now, as it is every year around this time, and I got home tonight with a splitting headache. After I couldn’t shift it with my usual homecoming cup of tea and first listen to the day’s music of choice, I went and laid down, planning to only rest for twenty minutes or so, but then ended up sleeping for almost two hours, and have woken now with an even thicker head than before. So I did listen once through to Vanessa Rossetto’s Mineral Orange tonight with the intention of writing about it as its a disc I have been enjoying a lot recently, but it is now midnight, my head and eyes are killing me and I have a long day ahead tomorrow so I need to fall back into bed, sorry.

I am aware that recent weeks have seen a lower number of posts here than usual, and I should probably warn you that until we get this damned irritating time of the year out of the way this might continue. Also, tomorrow night I will be setting out on a flying trip to Paris, so posting anything of value might be even more difficult for a couple of days, though my plan is to try and write (and hopefully post) from the Eurostar train, though I’m not sure how feasible that will be. I should still arrange a post here of some kind tomorrow evening. Anyway, the above picture is close to what I see when I close my eyes right now…

So, sorry Vanessa… I might still write about your lovely record tomorrow. For everyone else- merci de votre patience, le service normal sera repris sous peu. (or something like that)

    Hi Richard,

I see that, even when you have headache, your french is perfect.
And don’t forget to sleep during your flying trip in the Eurostar.
Looking forward to seeing you here,

    Jacques
