Right, so tonight I was halfway through writing a CD review (of the Drouin / Olsen / Ruhlmann album on Caduc) when I lost my broadband connection. I still have the half written review on my laptop, but I am having to write this using the 3G connection on my iPad, which works fine, but does strange things to the images I post here, and given that I have a half finished review sat on my laptop I am not going to try and write anything about music in this post, but may well delete this and replace it with the originally intended text if I regain a broadband connection anytime soon, though it has been out for an hour already, so I don’t hold much hope and can envisage me being on the phone for ages to BT tomorrow trying to get it sorted out. For now then, my apologies, and hopefully something better will appear here soon.

Edit: I got my connection back on Sunday morning. Apparently my router lost its connection to BT. This, so I am told, usually occurs when it has been left idle for a long period of time. I had in fact been using the connection continually from about 4PM through to the point it went down. Still, that’s the reason I have been given. Idiots. I’ve added a photo above, a nice looking section of a cardboard box. The aforementioned review can go into tonight’s post. So you have to wait in suspense a little longer Jamie…

While waiting for your review of the Drouin / Olsen / Ruhlmann disc, let me offer my own two-word review: ‘extremely good’

I just got the internet back about half an hour ago. I am tempted to delete the above post and just leave your review here Simon…!
