OK, so Austrian / Swiss composers and musicians have been successfully collected from their respective airports and delivered to their accommodation in West Oxfordshire ready for the concert tomorrow evening and recording sessions throughout the day. The journeys were smooth, and a very enjoyable meal in an Indian restaurant followed, during which Radu Malfatti took to defending jazz music to me, which was an amusing and actually quite enlightening turn of events. All are in good form and tomorrow’s concert promises much, as long as someone can tear Radu away from the tennis, so it would be wrong if I didn’t plug it again. For anyone possibly thinking of making the journey over from London, the Oxford Tube express bus service details can be found here. The buses run all night, and should you come get off at the St Aldates stop and the venue is only a short walk away. Doors are at 7.30 for a prompt 8PM start that should mean we end on time to allow people to travel home at a semi-sensible hour. Years of making the Oxford/London journey in the opposite direction has made me quite sensitive to how annoying late finishes can be!

I also collected the concert programmes today as well, which look nice and will be given away to all that come tomorrow. If anyone should decide to come, and you don’t already know me, come and say hi. I’ll be the ┬ástressed looking one mumbling to himself that he’s never attempting this again…
