Ferran Fages, Ernesto Rodrigues – Cru

December 12, 2014

CD Creative Sources Now this is a curious one, likely to be overlooked and possibly misunderstood if not paid proper attention to. Cru is another release involving Ernesto Rodrigues on his incredibly prolific Creative Sources label, one of five to include the violist in the most recent batch alone. I have yet to listen to […]

Atolón – Concret

April 11, 2013

CD Intonema The trio of Alfredo Costa Monteiro, Ferran Fages and Ruth Barberán have been making music as a trio on and off for more than a decade now. This is (I think) their fourth album together as a trio, but they have appeared together in quite a few other group formations along the way as […]

CD Entr’acte On the way to work in the car this morning I listened through to Ferran Fages’ new release Llum Moll on the Entr’acte label. About ten hours later, I went back to my car to drive back home. I got in, turned the key, had a quick drink of water before settling down […]

Another long day at work, tired with barely a moment to myself. But then you knew that already, shut up and move on to the music Richard. Well only one disc again tonight, but I’ve listened through to it twice, and have managed a couple of interrupted spins before. so I have taken in just […]

Monday 2nd February

February 3, 2009

I have no doubt that there is considerable overlap between the hundred or so people that regularly visit these pages and the readership of Bagatellen, but just in case people hadn’t already seen it I thought I’d bring to your attentions a competition that Al has announced over there. Readers are asked to email in […]
